We find these things to be Totally Bueno.
You know, the usual suspects: conservation, music, scrimshaw...
scrimshaw?
Tree Hugging by Kathy Marks
Does putting my arms around an Aspen, Elm or Oak tree on certain festive occasions like Arbor Day, Earth Day, Gaylord Nelson's Birthday, and the months of June and July make me a Tree Hugger? I do it all for Aldo (Leopold, that is).
The Chet Morton Lifestyle by Kurt Huber
As the Chet Morton of the group, my hobbies include spelunking, scrimshaw, and tinkering with my old jalopy. When I need a little relief from these hobbies, I continue to put the finishing touches on my bomb shelter/bachelor pad.
Shredding the Rad by Alec Regan
The skateboarding lifestyle and design profession go hand in hand. My Spicoli-esque demeanor lends itself to the creative process. Whether I'm doing a switch frontside buntslide or manipulating a large format vector file, I feel right at home.
Rock Star Introvert by Eric Geiss
I am a rock star trapped in the mind of a designer trapped in the body of a programmer. My desire to let loose and be free is at constant odds with the need to stay controlled and organized. The geek battles the artist. Good vs Evil.
Ride to Live, Live to Ride by Cindy Flora
My other vehicle is a Harley. It's true. And let me tell you, my biker chick persona comes in handy as I gently 'remind' our left-brained designers to turn in their expense and billing paperwork on-time. It's fun to watch them scurry.
On Your Case by Matt Richards
Matt 'Matlock' Richards. Why Matlock? Because he's always on our case, but we're not sure if this knowledge was derived from a Juris Doctorate or from being caught on the wrong side of the law. Some friendly advice; when you stop in and say 'Howdy' to Matt, don't you dare whistle the theme to The Andy Griffith Show or he might slap you with a permanent injunction quicker than you can say 'Aunt Bea.'
Caffeinated Correlations by David Hayawaka
Almost every significant idea in the past 10 years has been coupled with a strong cup of hot coffee, served black with absolutely no sugar, right? In fact, I'm positive that if I could study the data, the correlation between caffeine and creative genius would show that the more caffeine one consumes, the genius index would rise just as the inspirational jitters of a third cup of java kick in. There must be a serious amount of creative genius goin on at my desk, because you'll never find me without a cup of joe. I would hate to think I drink coffee just to stay awake during an all night marathon of writing code...
Be Active by Karen Anderson
Just keep moving and the world will move with you. Ski, bike, hike, skate, workout, take the stairs--whatever--I just like to stay active. Project management seemed like a natural fit for me. I can merge my need to be a part of the marketing and design world and keep moving at the same time. As a project manager I get to chase the designers and programmers around to get their work done. Keep moving and the world will move with you.
